Squarespace Metrics

This website uses Squarespace Metrics, a web analytics service provided by Squarespace, Inc. ("Squarespace"). Squarespace Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer, nor do they contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our offering more user-friendly, more effective, and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and that are saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called »session cookies«. They are automatically deleted after your visit is concluded. Other cookies remain stored on your computer until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser at the next visit. You can configure your browser in such a manner that you are informed of the setting of cookies, and that you only permit cookies on a case-by-case basis, that you activate the acceptance of cookies for specific cases, or reject the acceptance of all cookies, as well as activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Deactivation of cookies can restrict the functionality of this website.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Squarespace on servers in the United States. Squarespace will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Server-Log-Files

The provider of the web pages captures and saves information automatically in so-called server log files, which are automatically sent to us by your browser. These are:

- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Date and time of the server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific people. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to examine the data subsequently, if we have concrete indications of illegal use.

Contact form
If you send us enquiries by means of the contact form, your data from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be saved for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. We will not forward this data without your consent.

Google Web Fonts
This site might use the so-called Web fonts, which are provided by Google for displaying the fonts in a uniform manner. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts to your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

SSL encryption
This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection in your browser's address line when it changes from "http://" to "https://" and the lock icon in your browser line is visible. If SSL encryption is activated, the data that you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Prohibition of promotion mails

Use of contact data, published within the framework of the imprint obligation, for sending unsolicited advertisements and information materials is hereby expressly prohibited. The site operators reserve the right to take legal action in case of unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails.

You have the right at any time to receive information at no charge concerning your stored personal data, the origin and recipients of your personal data, and the purpose for which your personal data is processed, as well as a right to have your personal data corrected, blocked, or deleted. In this regard, or if you have questions concerning personal data, you can contact us at any time via the address specified in the imprint.

Notes on newsletter and consent

The following notes are meant to inform you about the contents of our newsletter as well as the registration, dispatch and statistical evaluation procedures and your rights of objection. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive the same and the described process.

Contents of the newsletter

We send newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications with information (referred to as "newsletter" below) only with the consent of the recipient or a legal authorisation. Insofar as the contents of a newsletter registration are specifically described in detail, they are decisive for the user's consent. Our newsletter also contains information about products and promotions such as discount offers.

Double opt-in and logging

The registration to our newsletter happens in a so-called double opt-in process. This means that you will receive an e-mail after registration asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary, so no one can log-in using some other e-mail address.

The newsletter registrations are logged to have proof of the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes storing the date and time of registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address. The changes made to your data stored at MailChimp are also logged.

Usage of the shipping service provider "MailChimp"

The newsletter is sent using "MailChimp", a Newsletter dispatch platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their data described as part of this information, are stored on the MailChimp servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information for dispatch and to evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. MailChimp can also use this data according to their own information, to optimise or improve their services, e.g. for technical optimisation of the dispatch and appearance of the newsletter or for business purposes, to determine the countries of the newsletter recipients. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them directly or share them with third parties.

We trust the reliability and the IT as well as data security of MailChimp. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU data privacy agreement "Privacy Shield" and is hence obliged to meet the EU data privacy requirements. In addition, we have signed a "Data-Processing Agreement" with MailChimp. This contract obliges MailChimp to protect the data of our users, to process the data according to their data privacy policy on our behalf and, in particular, not to share the data with third parties. You can read the MailChimp data privacy policy here.

Registration data

To sign up for the newsletter, it is sufficient if you specify your e-mail address. Optionally, we request you to provide your first and last name as well as the name of your organisation (e.g. coworking space) and country. These details are used only for personalising the newsletter.

Statistical survey and analysis

The newsletter contains a so-called "web-beacon", i.e. a pixel sized file that is retrieved when the newsletter is opened from the MailChimp server. During this retrieval, technical information like information about your browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval, are captured. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times.

The statistical survey also includes information about whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. This information can be mapped to the individual newsletter recipients for technical reasons. Neither we nor MailChimp intend to monitor individual users. The analyses are used to understand the reading habits of our users and to customise the contents for them, or to send varied content according to the interests of our users.

Online retrieval and data management

There are cases where we redirect the newsletter recipients to the Web pages of MailChimp. For example, our newsletter contains a link using which the newsletter recipients can retrieve the newsletters online (e.g. in case of display issues in the e-mail program). In addition, newsletter recipients can also correct their data, for example, the email address. Likewise, the Data privacy policy of MailChimp is also available on their site. In this context we would like to point out that on the web pages of MailChimp cookies are used and therefore personal data are processed by MailChimp, its partners and used service providers (e. g. Google Analytics). We do not have any influence on this data capturing. For more information, please refer to the Data privacy policy of MailChimp. In addition, we would like to draw your attention to the possibilities of objecting to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites http: and http: (for the European region).

Termination/cancellation

You can cancel the newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your consent. By doing so, your consent for sending it via MailChimp and the statistical analysis are also cancelled at the same time. The dispatch via MailChimp or the statistical analysis cannot be cancelled separately. You will find a link for cancelling the newsletter at the end of each one.

Legal basis of the data privacy regulation

In accordance with the provisions of the basic data protection ordinance (DSGVO) in force as of 25 May 2018, we hereby inform you that the consent to the sending of e-mail addresses takes place on the basis of Art.6 section 1 lit. a, 7 DSGVO and § 7 section 2 No. 3, and section 3 of the UWG. The use of the dispatch service provider MailChimp, the conduction of statistical surveys and analyses, as well as logging the registration process, is done based on our legitimate interests according to article 6 section 1 lit. f DSGVO. We are interested in using a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves our business interests and meets the expectations of our users.

We would also like to point out, that you can object at any point to the processing of your personal data in the future in accordance with the legal provisions as per article 21 of DSGVO. The objection can be raised especially against processing the data for direct promotional purposes.
